SNAICC Rules and Purposes

 

SNAICC National Executive 2009–2010

The Secretariat of National Aboriginal and Islander Child Care Inc. is governed by a National Executive made up of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled children's and families' services.

The National Executive is elected directly through postal ballot by SNAICC's full members, who are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community-controlled children's and families' services, for a two year term.

The National Executive consists of:

  • one representative elected by and from among the State and Territory Members;
  • one representative from each State and Territory of Australia, elected by and from among the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Childcare Services based in that State or Territory.
  • one representative from each State and Territory of Australia, elected by and from among the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child and Family Welfare Services based in that State or Territory.
  • two representatives elected by and from among the Local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Early Learning and Preschool Services.
  • two representatives elected by and from among the Local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Child and Family Welfare Services.
