'Change for our Children’ is the 2011 theme of The Aboriginal Child, Family and Community Care State Secretariat's (AbSec) biennial conference. Registrations and a call for abstracts is now open. Conference dates: 7 Dec 2011 to 9 Dec 2011.

National Indigenous Ear Health Campaign - Care for Kids’ Ears resource kit for early childhood and community groups
The Care for Kids’ Ears campaign has been designed and produced to increase awareness of ear disease and hearing loss in Aboriginal and Islander communities. Targeted resources promoting the ear health message have been developed for parents and carers.

Go Forward For Men ‘No To Abuse’ group program - Cairns, QLD
Based at Relationships Australia (QLD) the Go Forward For Men service is offering a 12 week program to help men remove abuse and violence from their relationships. It is a 12 week program. Running in Cairns from 6.00 pm to 8.30 pm Tuesdays. Starts 27th September 2011. Ends 13th December 2011.
