The SNAICC Conference held at the end of July was a great success with almost 1000 people gathering from all over the country making it the largest conference on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

Over 70 events were registered country-wide to celebrate National Aboriginal and Islander Children's Day. There were picnics, BBQs, open days, family fun, traditional dancing and music, face painting, balloons and much more...

Over the three days, during one lunch time session and the big Tuesday night screening as well as the much applauded music and language clips played during the plenary breaks, we screened as many films from as wide a cross section of country as possible.

You would have seen the great music clips, Pitjantjatjara language lessons and films from Ngapartji Ngapartji at the start of each day at the conference. Ngapartji Ngapartji is a Big hART project that ran in Central Australia from 2005-2010.

The largest and most successful national conference on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children closed today in Alice Springs. Nearly 1000 delegates participated in three days of sharing stories, wisdom and experiences.
