Through Young Black Eyes 2007 Handbook now available for purchase

The fully updated and edited 2007 edition of SNAICC's flagship family violence and child abuse prevention handbook, Through Young Black Eyes Handbook, is now available for purchase from SNAICC.

This 134 page handbook is full of information and resources for those working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in preventing and reducing family violence and child abuse and neglect.
Cost: $25 including GST, postage and handling
It features:
- background information on recognising family violence and child abuse and neglect
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child welfare issues,
- child protection issues and policies,
- legal information, and
- listings of resources and key agencies.
This resources is ideal for workers in Aboriginal & Islander Child Care Agencies (AICCAs), child welfare services, community development, family violence education and prevention services, Aboriginal legal services and health services, women's organisations, and others working in the field. It is also and excellent training manual.
